GENERAL SESSION: The Art of Networking with Annetta Wilson

Promenade Ballroom D

If you’ve ever felt awkward, uncomfortable or like a “fish out of water” at networking events, this highly interactive seminar will show you how the pros do it. There is an “art” to networking that can increase the odds that you and your business benefit. Fifty-five percent of communication is non-verbal, 38 percent is tone of voice and only 7 percent is what you actually say. The ability to communicate powerfully in all three areas has a direct correlation to the success of business and personal interactions.

Rather than skip events where you have to “mingle,” discover a few simple tricks (and things that can sabotage you) when you have to work a room. You’ll also learn an unusual “mind trick” to get rid of the fear of walking up to complete strangers.

3:30 PM - 5:45 PM

EAMC Team Building

Presented by Amplify

ROOM: Tulsa South & Central

"Minute to Win It" & various indoor games/challenges

Whether you are a first time attendee or a veteran of the conference, participating in the EAMC team building session helps kick-off the conference with a little competition, a great networking opportunity and, most importantly, a lot of fun. Please join us for teambuilding by coming dressed casual with comfortable shoes, all events will take place inside the hotel ballroom, but we would like all attendees to be comfortable in their attire. The teams will be assigned when you arrive and will have a mix of newcomers and veterans to compete in a variety of “minute-to-win-it” style games. We look forward to everyone bringing their team spirit to EAMC Tulsa Team Building (and there may or may not be a mechanical bull involved).

Promenade Ballroom C & D

Business as usual is ancient history. Event and arena marketers must make the move from simply selling a product or service to delivering a mind-blowing customer experience. They have to learn to play at the level athletes and entertainers call stadium status.

John Brubaker shares his personal experiences as a successful radio personality, championship coach, and executive consultant, and reveals the strategies employed by country musicians, teams, and brands to build their fan base and separate themselves from the competition. He explains exactly how participants can implement these same tactics to achieve better results in their own endeavors. Stadium Status’ real-world examples demonstrate that gaining a fresh perspective and applying ideas from outside your industry are what will truly elevate your performance.

PANEL DISCUSSIONS - SOCIAL MEDIA & DIGITAL

Promenade Ballroom D

Strategies to Create Captivating Social & Digital Content

With limited human and financial resources, venues recognize the importance and significance of creating social and digital content that is engaging, promotes organizational goals and includes a measurable ROI (if applicable). Venues recognize the advantages but often times do not have the technical skills, capacity, budget or direct oversight of intellectual property to deliver a well thought out strategy. The goal for the panel is to provide easy, actionable how-to steps in either creating or curating compelling content that is supported by real-world examples. Although it would be helpful, examples do not necessarily need to be from the sports/entertainment/venue perspective. Often, B-to-C or B-to-B examples are easily understood and translatable for this audience.
